Description

The OpenDLog system is an open design, both in hardware and internal source code (in C), for the construction of a multiple-purpose data acquisition system, oriented to scientific, social, or research projects requiring a flexible solution, with acceptable precision and moderate price.

The system is based on the well tested PWRC2 system, currently deployed at the INTI-Neuquén Test Site for SWTs since 2012, using boards designed under ANR/SeCyT Nº SC002/2003 project since 2005. It has a low power consumption and offers a number of 0-5V or 0-10V analog channels, using 13 bit or 10 bit resolution converters, also including the following features:

• SD, 2GB memory storage
• Oriented to power, voltage, and current measurements.
• Optional external METEO unit for measuring ambient variables (wind, temperature, etc.)
• Real Time Clock with Temperature Compensated Xtal (TCXO) backed up by standard CR3032 lithium battery
• 4 line x 20 chars alphanumeric LCD
• 4 key Membrane keyboard
• USB or Serial RS232 connection for user configuration
• Option: External line operated power supply module (100-240V CA input), PV panel and 12V gel battery, working as DC-UPS.
